Nerstrand Fire and Rescue, Located in Nerstrand, Minnesota, proudly provides Fire and EMS First Responder services to a population of 1250 over 49 square miles in Rice and Goodhue Counties. We serve the City of Nerstrand and Wheeling Township in Rice County as well as the City of Dennison and Townships of Holden and Warsaw in Goodhue County.

Our Mission

The mission of Nerstrand Fire & Rescue is to minimize loss of life and property from fires, natural disasters, and life-threatening situations and to assist other emergency agencies through efficient and effective programs. It is our vision to be known as an innovative and progressive rural Fire and Rescue service. We are dedicated to the delivery of effective fire suppression, rescue services and quality fire/safety education to the public. We strive to offer the best available education and training to our members. We are committed to providing an environment that fosters teamwork among members. We desire to have an atmosphere of open communication, which promotes the safety, health, and welfare of individual members.
